Rapid Repair Mortar Admixture

A dedicated admixture for producing rapid repair mortar. You do not need rapid-hardening sulphoaluminate cement: batching is simply 42.5 PO / 52.5 ordinary Portland cement, clean sand and YJ-K308. Once placed, the mortar takes foot traffic at 1 hour and vehicles at 2 hours.

Foot traffic 1 h Traffic open 2 h Strength C60+ Base cement 42.5 / 52.5 OPC

What it removes from your process: no sulphoaluminate cement to source, and no cocktail of separate admixtures to blend and test. One admixture, two raw materials, far fewer ways for a batch to go wrong.

Product overview

Hanwang Yijia focuses on speciality cement mortars and cement-modification materials. In the field of cement early strength, strengthening, rapid setting and rapid hardening —what we call the "two strengths, two fasts" —we work with mature, industry-leading processes.

YJ-K308 is our in-house admixture developed specifically for repair mortar. It lets a dry-mix producer build a rapid repair mortar product line without buying rapid-hardening sulphoaluminate cement, and without assembling a multi-component admixture package.

The YJ-K308 dose is the lever for working time. Raise it for a faster set, lower it when the crew needs longer to place and finish. Sand silt content matters more than most producers expect —use low-silt sand.

Core advantages

1

High, stable strength gain

Rapid set and rapid hardening on ordinary Portland cement. With a suitable mix, strength reaches C60 and above, and late-age strength development beats a sulphoaluminate cement system.

2

Easy to place

The mortar flows well, which keeps site work straightforward even under time pressure.

3

Strong adhesion

Bond performance is a standout —the repair grips the existing substrate firmly.

4

Shrinkage and crack resistance

Micro-expansive behaviour materially lowers the risk of shrinkage cracking in the patch.

5

Production without the guesswork

No need to blend multiple admixtures, which removes a large block of trial work and the risk of mis-batching raw materials.

6

Durability, no dusting

Suppresses surface pulverisation, which lifts the service life of the repair.

7

Lower cost, better output

Procurement is simpler and total cost comes in below a sulphoaluminate-based repair mortar system.

Where it is used

  • Road and pavement patch repair —reopen to traffic within 2 hours of placing.
  • Industrial and warehouse floor repair —hand the floor back inside one maintenance window.
  • Bridge deck and kerb repairs —high bond strength to the existing substrate.
  • Dry-mix producers building their own branded rapid repair mortar product.

Handling and storage

  • Store sealed and protected from moisture; mix fresh and use fresh.
  • Material that has absorbed moisture and caked has lost performance and must not be used.
  • Run a laboratory trial on your cement and sand before scaling to production.

Packaging

25 kg bags / 1000 kg bulk bags.

Frequently asked

Do I need sulphoaluminate cement for this?

No —that is the point of the product. Ordinary 42.5 PO or 52.5 Portland cement plus low-silt sand plus YJ-K308 is the whole formulation.

How soon can traffic run on the repair?

Foot traffic at 1 hour after the mortar hardens, vehicle traffic at 2 hours.

What strength can I expect?

C60 and above with a suitable mix proportion. Late-age strength keeps developing rather than falling back.

Can I adjust the working time?

Yes. The YJ-K308 dose controls it —more admixture for a faster set, less when the crew needs more placing time.

Do I need the polypropylene fibre?

It is in the reference mix at 1— parts, 3— mm length, to control plastic cracking. Tell us your application and we will advise whether to keep it.

Not sure which product fits your line?

Send us your cement grade and what you are casting. We will tell you which YJ product applies —or tell you if none of them do.
